To give my hands a break from the sometimes intense work of goldsmithing, I bead these intricate swingy earrings. Tiny beads of glass are stitched together one by one, a meditation of quietly moving hands and softly reflective mind. The earwires are solid recycled sterling silver, handmade by me. These particular beads are matte espresso brown and pearly offwhite.
No plating to fade away here, only real silver, and glass beads. With proper jewellery care these will keep their beauty and last forever.
The drop length is approx. 10 cm from the top of the earwire.
To care for and store these beaded earrings:
- try to keep them from getting wet. If they do get wet, dry them flat on some tissue
- when not worn, store them flat, to prevent stretching
- the earwires are genuine silver, if they tarnish a little over time, they can be polished up with a jewellery cloth.
